A few weeks ago, Marmalade approached me with a very exciting idea… They asked if I’d like to test drive and review a brand-new car. Of course, I jumped at the chance!
The day came when my surprise car arrived – Marmalade had sent me a brand new SEAT Ibiza! I decided I was going to put this car to the test – I wanted to see if it was a good option for young drivers and, spoiler alert, it didn’t disappoint. I decided to take the car on a bit of a road trip, through a drive thru, fuel it and basically all the usual trips a 17-year-old would probably take.
So let's get down to the car and my week... Well firstly, I loved it! The car had a 1L petrol engine with an automatic gearbox, oh and flappy paddles which made the car feel responsive and sporty. In the vlog, you might think I’m going a bit quickly – but I wasn’t. I stuck to the speed limits at all times, I promise. I think it’s just because the car has such a sporty and solid feel, it came across that way!
My friends have asked me what my favourite features of the SEAT Ibiza are, and I have to say it was the modern feel of the virtual dash and apple car play… It was so easy to link to your phone. I also loved the interior which I felt was high quality and matched the sporty looks of the cars exterior.
Personally I would of liked the car to have kept the red stitching, chrome door handles and carried these details through to the back of the car but I guess this helps to keep the build costs down and definitely wasn’t a deal breaker!
Overall I feel the Seat Ibiza FR is an excellent choice for new drivers and the way Marmalade help you arrange everything – from car delivery to finance, makes it so simple.
The SEAT Ibiza FR was not on my radar as a car to consider. In truth I never really considered a SEAT at all until this test and now well, I find myself highly recommending it! I can’t thank Marmalade enough for the opportunity to test it for them and you. I hope you like seeing what I go up to!
