Our Pay As You Go Insurance covers young drivers when they are behind the wheel of the parent’s car that is specified on the policy.

Start your policy by purchasing the first 500 miles then top up as and when you need to. We'll cover provisional and full licence holders aged 17-27 on most family cars - provided the car is not over 20 years old, above group 32 insurance, or over £30,000 in value.

If you already have Pay As You Go Insurance through us, your policy will expire on the anniversary of the date you originally took our the policy – this is to ensure that you still have the opportunity to earn your No Claims Discount for the year. Until this date, you can still top up your miles as normal.

Cancelling your policy

If you would like to cancel your policy, please give the team a call on 0330 343 8814.

Other fees and charges

  • If you make changes to the policy during the policy term, we will charge a fee to make a mid-term adjustment.
  • At the time you contact us to make the change, we’ll let you know the total price to be paid, including any fees, taxes and charges separately from the premium, so that you know the full breakdown before any changes are completed.
  • If the telematics tag is faulty, we will replace this free of charge.
  • If you tamper with or damage your device, a fee will be payable to replace the device.
  • If you have requested and received a new tag and your original tag is not faulty, a charge is payable for the new device.

Frequently asked questions

Miles will be valid for 12 months from purchase, so you have plenty of time to use them if you are not driving that often. The great news is that, for every year you stay claim free, you will earn a year's No Claims Discount!

No-one wants to run out of miles mid-journey, so we've made it easy by arranging for your policy to top up automatically when you have 50 miles remaining. Just make sure you have a valid payment card on file with enough funds to pay for the top up. You will be asked to select your preferred top up amount when you purchase, from 100 - 500 miles. If you reach a point where you no longer need the insurance, you can simply give us a call and we will cancel the policy and refund any miles remaining since your last top up.
