A French born manufacturer, Renault have been established for over a century with an enviable reputation and flair for creativity.
They strive to break convention to create innovatively designed and engineered cars that evoke emotion, but are practical and affordable too – and we happen think it’s something they do pretty well!
Renault’s strapline is “Passion for life” – and this vibrancy really comes across in the design and personality of their cars. Models like the Laguna and Megane divided opinion with their angular, unusual design – but both turned out to be successful. Renault continue to be innovative and adventurous in their design – more recently, they’ve really broken the mould recently with the outlandish Renault Twizy – a tiny, two seater electric vehicle – where the doors are optional on some models!
When it comes to the supermini market – Renault certainly seem to have it nailed, with the Clio! Now in its 4th generation, it’s still just as much of a hit as it was when it was launched in the early 90’s. This is probably because they’ve stayed true to the winning formula – smart, fun, nippy and affordable – while re-inventing to move with the time with sharp new styling and cutting edge features.
