What once was part of Citroen, the DS3 has now been re-branded and given a makeover. It’s a joy to drive and with its smart good looks, you’ll be the envy of your friends.
If you’re after a stylish looking hatchback on a budget then this could be the car for you. Best of all, you can pick up a brand new DS3 with a low deposit and free insurance, discounted insurance or cashback.
With its smooth, clean lines and rounded edges, the DS3 is true to its French roots looking classy and chic. It’s a fun sporty drive that has responsive steering, good grip and a sturdy body. It’s a spritely drive and handles well so you’ll have no problem ducking in and out of traffic in town (safely of course!).
The interior is upmarket and comfortable with some nice quality finishes.
The DS3 is only available with 3 doors. This gives it a sleek looking exterior but does hinder the space on the back seat a bit, so your taller mates may not want to ride in the back for long journeys. The boot however is a decent size, rivalling most other super-minis on the market. You’ll have no problems loading your camping gear, shopping or luggage into this space.
If it’s tech that you’re after, then this car will serve you well as there’s plenty that comes as standard and its pretty luxurious as you will see. Cruise control, six airbags, air-con, a tyre-pressure monitoring system and a touchscreen display in the console housing some modern technology including Apple CarPlay. Premium models offer extras like parking sensors, satnav and larger alloy wheels.
Euro NCAP awarded the DS3 a maximum five star rating for safety with an 87% score for adult occupant protection score. Every version is fitted with 6 airbags and electronic stability control. There’s also the nifty Active City Brake system which automatically applies the brakes if it detects a possible head on collision when the car is travelling up to 20mph.
What is a guarantor?
A guarantor is someone who formally guarantees to pay the finance if the young driver is unable to make the repayments. Before agreeing to become a guarantor for young driver, it is important you check that you would be able to afford the repayments (if they fail to pay the finance instalments), as non-payment pay could affect both yours, and their, credit score and result in repossession of the car.
How does the insurance work?
We offer you a personalised quote based on your age and postcode and the majority of our customers really do get free insurance. We know it's a big outlay buying and insuring your first car. We developed this offer to help ease the pain during what's probably going to be your most expensive year of car insurance – whilst you build up that first year's all important no claims bonus. Our insurance is underwritten by Highway Insurance (part of the Liverpool Victoria Group)
How long until I get my new car?
Good question. It depends on the car you're after and how far you want to go customising it! If you want your car delivered ASAP give us a call on 0333 358 3441 to find out what's available now. If you've got your heart set on a certain colour or upgrade the car may have to be made to order. Whatever your circumstances, our friendly team can talk you through timescales for the different options – and we'll keep you posted on progress until it's delivered.
What is the benefit of adding a guarantor to my finance application?
If you're aged under 21, you're unlikely to have built up much credit history, so approval will be based on your personal circumstances. Having a guarantor increases your chance of being approved - thus allowing you to start building up your credit score.
What happens after the first year?
We'll send you a renewal price, but you don't have to take it and if you can find a more suitable policy somewhere else you can move your insurance (we'll miss you though!)
