Citroen C1

It’s no wonder the C1 is so popular with young drivers – it’s compact, smart and funky and easy on the pocket!

If you’re after a classy little car that doesn’t compromise on driveability, the Citroen C1 could be the one for you. Why not get your hands on a brand new model with a low deposit and free insurance or a contribution towards insurance?

Reasons to love the Citroen C1

An upbeat sprightly drive Plus Icon

Available in 1litre, or the livelier 1.2 litre engine, the Citroen C1 is an enjoyable drive that loves nothing better than a spin around town. The light steering makes it a breeze to navigate city streets and parking in tight spaces a doddle.

Chic and cheerful Plus Icon

There’s no denying the Citroen C1 is a smart little car. The styling, inside and out, is fresh and fun and there’s plenty of choice in colour options. The C1 feels surprisingly roomy up front but it does lack some space in the rear seat and boot; your mates may get a bit fidgety on longer journeys!

There’s a smart connecting box Bluetooth and USB set up on some models, a nice 7-inch colour touchscreen on the mid-range Feel model and alloys, and reversing camera on the top price Flair model. All models can have keyless entry and keyless start.

Strong on safety Plus Icon

Euro NCAP gave this car a solid four out of five stars for safety with an 80% occupancy rating for adults and child protection.

There’s also hill-start assistance so you’ll avoid any awkward reverse hill slippage. The security kit includes an immobiliser and central locking.

Economical and environmental Plus Icon

The stop/start technology helps to keep CO2 emissions down to only 88/km and this gives you a decent fuel economy of 74.3mpg.

You’ll need to get this car serviced every 15,500 miles or 12 months (whichever comes first), but servicing costs are reasonable and shouldn’t break the bank.

Happily, Insurance costs are also low, falling into group 6 for the 1.0 litre car or group 12 for the 1.2 litre.

Frequently asked questions

How does the insurance work? Plus Icon

We offer you a personalised quote based on your age and postcode and the majority of our customers really do get free insurance. We know it's a big outlay buying and insuring your first car. We developed this offer to help ease the pain during what's probably going to be your most expensive year of car insurance – whilst you build up that first year's all important no claims bonus. Our insurance is underwritten by Allianz, one of the largest insurers in the UK.

Will I need to have a black box in the car? Plus Icon

Your new car will be covered by our New Driver Insurance. This uses clever black box technology to help you develop your driving skills – and if you drive safely and remain claim free, you can earn an additional discount at renewal. The majority of applicants will receive free insurance, but where this is not available we will offer you discounted insurance or cashback.

What happens after the first year? Plus Icon

We'll send you a renewal price, but you don't have to take it and if you can find a more suitable policy somewhere else you can move your insurance (we'll miss you though!)

How long until I get my new car? Plus Icon

Good question. It depends on the car you're after and how far you want to go customising it! If you want your car delivered ASAP give us a call on 0333 358 3441 to find out what's available now. If you've got your heart set on a certain colour or upgrade the car may have to be made to order. Whatever your circumstances, our friendly team can talk you through timescales for the different options – and we'll keep you posted on progress until it's delivered.
