Our Pay As You Go policy covers students when they’re behind the wheel of a parent’s car. You'll purchase 500 miles at the start of your policy, then you’ll need to arrange your auto top-up – this kicks in when you have 50 miles left and can be set to 100, 200, 300, 400 or 500 miles.

Not going to be driving too often? Don’t worry - miles are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, or top-up, so there’s plenty of time to use them. Plus you can keep on top of how many miles are left on the handy app!

Frequently asked questions

Is this short-term student car insurance valid on all cars?arrow
We'll cover most cars as long as they're under 20 years old, up to insurance group 32 and no more than £30,000 in value.
Will this student car insurance allow me to drive any car?arrow
This policy is a short term flexible insurance option for students to get cover on a parent’s car and will only cover the student to drive the car specified on the policy. The car needs to have a main insurance policy in place – as this policy will only provide cover when the student driver is behind the wheel.
Should students use their home address for their car insurance or university address?arrow
This is a really good question. Essentially, we will need to know your home address and where the car is kept overnight. For the majority of students at uni, their home address is still likely to be with their parents. So when you’re asked you’re home address enter what you consider your home. We will then ask where the car is kept overnight – it may be the same address, or, if you are borrowing someone else’s car or keeping the car at another address during the policy term, you will need to specify that address for where it is kept overnight.
