Am I eligible?
To take out 90 day learner driver insurance, you'll need:
- You & your own UK provisional licence
- Your supervisor. Find the full breakdown of who can supervise a learner driver here. They must be over 25 or over, a full UK licence, and insured on the same kind of car (automatic or manual) as the one you are practicing in.
- A car to practice in! Learner driver insurance is available on many vehicles, subject to our eligibility requirements. These include considerations such as the car's age, value and insurance group, which can be confirmed during the quote journey.

A note for parents
90 days of shared car time is a bigger commitment, so it's worth knowing how the cover is set up:
- Your No Claims Discount is protected. Any claim during a practice session does not go through your policy, but the learner driver’s Marmalade policy.
- Your annual premium isn't affected by the learner policy sitting alongside it. Your own insurance carries on as normal.
- Cover ends the moment they pass their practical test, so there's no admin to sort on test day.
For many families, a longer window like 90 days may take the pressure off, so you have time for shorter, calmer sessions rather than rushing progress.
