Marmalade, leading provider of cars and telematics-based insurance for young drivers, has launched its first ever Brand Ambassador Programme to help promote safe driving to their peers.
The black box technology insurance specialists contacted its top drivers to give them the opportunity to apply for the Brand Ambassador Programme. The company was inundated with entries and selected four brand champions, including 19 year old Ollie from Sheffield, Paige Hayman who is 17 years old from London, Alyssa Henry from Stamford and is 18 years old and Saskia West aged 18 years from Bedford.
Ollie, Paige, Alyssa and Saskia came top of Marmalade’s best drivers list through the telematics monitoring system and were selected as responsible and safe young drivers. The black box technology monitors the accelerating, speeding, braking and cornering.
The brand ambassador’s were treated by Marmalade to a boat trip last month in Portsmouth as a reward for careful driving. Ollie, a student in Birmingham says: “Marmalade is a company that genuinely supports its customers – I’m really proud to call myself a brand ambassador. Our first event as representatives of the company was a weekend on a yacht sailing around the Isle of Wight, which was a once in a lifetime experience and gave us all a chance to get to know each other and meet some of the team from Marmalade.”
Over the next year, all four Brand Ambassadors will be creating blogs, video diaries and attending events to talk about their own experiences as young drivers and using the black box technology.”
Crispin Moger, CEO of Marmalade, says: “Brand ambassadors are an extension of the mission and values of our company and I am thrilled to introduce Ollie, Paige, Alyssa and Saskia as representing Marmalade. All four of them have proven they’re safe and sensible drivers but also enjoy the freedom of driving.
“This new programme seemed to be a natural progression for Marmalade as we pride ourselves as being champions of young people.”
