Halloween would be nothing without a fright here or there, would it? Now we’re not here to leave you absolutely petrified, but we’re going to give you something to make you shudder. We’ve listed our top 5 cars from Halloween inspired films!

I think it’s fair to say that Ghostbusters wouldn’t be the same without their car, the ECTO-1 (like Ectoplasm… get it?). This 1959 Cadillac ambulance/hearse combo has become an icon on our screens, helping you to instantly recognise the Ghostbusters. We ain’t afraid of no ghosts – are we?

Mystery Machine

Maybe not the scariest of shows out there, but Scooby Doo and Mystery Inc have been on our screens since 1969, and are still going strong today! Fred, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma and Scooby use their Mystery Machine to get around, looking for clues and fighting off the ghosts and ghouls.

Addams Family

The 1933 Packard V-12 served as The Addams Family car and was pretty luxurious for the time. It may not be used for warding off ghosts – but it still looks pretty creepy and is the perfect car for a wealthy but whacky family, who have no idea that everyone else finds them a bit odd.

The Munsters Koach is pretty out there today, and even more so in 1964! Made from three different Model T bodies, and measuring 18 feet long – this six door roadster was big enough for all the Munster’s to get in. We’re not sure anyone today would get on driving this though. Can you imagine how hard this would be to Parallel Park?!

Jeepers Creepers

Probably the scariest out of the 5, The Creeper Truck is a rusty 1941 Chevy and is what nightmares are made of. Fitted with a cow catcher, the Creeper uses this to transport bodies of his victims to a cave underneath an old church. Creepy van, but practical none-the-less. You know, if that’s your thing!

The movies and the cars are all fictional and somewhat ridiculous, so we’re pretty thankful we don’t have to drive along the same roads as them! Let us know your favourite creepy cars!
