Who doesn’t love a festival? From live music, comedy, food and parties – there are festivals up and down the country this summer and there’s bound to be something just for you! We may all be missing Glastonbury this year, but there’s plenty of other amazing offerings! We’ve pulled together a list of 10 different festivals that might take your fancy.

Isle of Wight Festival – 21st-24th June 2018

With headliners of Kasabian, Liam Gallagher, The Killers and more, this is one we’re all dying to go to! It’s also bound to be extra special this year – as The Isle of Wight Festival will be celebrating its 50th year! I wonder what extra something it will have in store?

TRNSMT festival – 29th June – 1st July, 6th-8th July 2018 (Glasgow)

Stereophonics, Jessie J, Arctic Monkeys and Liam Gallagher are all set to perform at one of the hottest festivals in the UK. With an expected 120,000 people attending, is this the perfect festival for you?

British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival – 6th-8th July, 13th-15th July 2018 (London)

Held over 2 weekends, BST 2018 is one of the most anticipated festivals of the summer! Attracting celebs and royals in its previous years, we wonder who will turn up this year to see performers such as Bruno Mars, The Cure and Michael Buble? (Michael Buble?! It’s not even Christmas!)

Latitude – 12th-15th July 2018 (Suffolk)

The winner of Best Major Festival 2017, Latitude are on a high and won’t disappoint this year. Alt-J, Rag ‘n’ Bone man, Jessie Ware and The Vaccines are just a few of the amazing acts that you can see at Latitude festival this year! From Thursday to Sunday – fill your time with music, street food, comedy and cabaret!

Citadel – 15th July 2018 (Gunnersbury Park, London)

Who said a festival needs to be a full weekend? This one-dayer includes all of the best music, food, arts and entertainment you could wish for! There’s even a Kids’ camp on offer, with activities for all ages. Who said Sunday’s have to be boring?

Truck Festival – 20th-22nd July 2018 (Oxfordshire)

Fancy a festival, but not into Glastonbury style crowds? Truck Festival could be the one for you! Whilst it may be small, they’ve got a line up to die for – including Friendly Fires and George Ezra! The Guardian describes this one as “The Godfather of the small festival scene”

Bestival – 2nd-5th August 2018 (Dorset)

Filled with music and comedy, Bestival is like no other festival you have ever been to. Plan B, London Grammar and Silk City are just a few of the names you can head out to see. What’s makes this year extra special? The circus theme, and apparent feature of a human cannonball act!

Wilderness – 2nd-5th August 2018 (Oxfordshire)

The clue is in the name, and Wilderness will have you making the most of your surroundings. From boating and wild swimming, to live music and cold beer – if you’re looking for a chilled out festival set in green surroundings, this is the one for you!

Reading & Leeds – 24th-26th August 2018

If you’re looking for a festival to go to, Reading and Leeds is always going to be a good shout. Headlines of Fall Out Boy, Kings of Leon and Kendrick Lamar – they’re something for every one of the August bank holiday weekend, with 2 locations to choose from!

SW4 – 25th-26th August (Clapham, London)

Fancy something with a bit more tech? South West Four brings you multiple stages of electronic music, for an unforgettable weekend. Acts over the weekend include Marshmello, Armin Van Buuren, Dizzee Rascal and Sigma! If you’re a house, techno or rave lover then this is the one for you!

The best part about heading out to a festival this summer? Having the freedom to get there! Relying on public transport can often put a dampener on your festival journey before it even begins. Luckily, we have the perfect insurance to get you there.
