Marmalade, the champion for young drivers insurance, rewarded its top performing drivers with a trip to the Isle of Wight on board a luxury yacht.
Three young drivers, and a guest of their choice, joined the Marmalade team on a day trip from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight in recognition for their safe driving skills.
Each driver achieved a score of over 99% while using black box technology in their car which helps them to maintain and develop safe driving skills.
Breakfast served in Portsmouth, lunch on the Isle of Wight and an exciting yacht trip was the activity of the day and each of those on board took it in turns to experience what it was like to steer the yacht and to see how it compared with driving their car.
Crispin Moger, managing director of Marmalade said: “We were delighted to welcome our top performing drivers on board the yacht. We believe it is important to recognise and reward the achievements of our young drivers and we look forward hosting a similar event next year.”
One of the young drivers told us: “I loved the experience, can I come next year!”
Unlike other insurers, when providing young drivers with a black box, Marmalade does not impose curfews and other complications on new drivers. The company trusts young drivers to be responsible and to monitor their driving through the black box, and therefore are deemed a lower risk which could potentially bring down the cost of their insurance premium.
