Like many businesses in the UK, Driving Instructors have been hit hard by the lockdowns during the current pandemic. The majority have been eligible for support by the Government grant, however there are some that would not have been eligible, for example, those who have not been self-employed long enough or who had not earned enough in the qualifying period.
Driving Instructors are crucial in the journey of new drivers taking to the road, giving the skills, confidence and safe driving habits they will need for life. Many are suffering financial hardship under circumstances that are out of their control.
We were delighted to hear from the ADINJC (Approved Driving Instructor National Joint Council) about a great Go Fund Me page set up by Bobbie Hicks and Susan MacDonald to raise funds for driving instructors who are in hardship.
We recognise the great work on Driving Instructors nationwide and Marmalade have pledged to match every pound raised up to a value of £10,000 to help boost the fund to help more instructors.
If you’d like to get involved and help raise money to support Driving Instructors in need of financial support – please head over to their Go Fund Me Page here!
