Skoda Citigo

The Skoda Citigo is very safe to drive with a stellar five star rating, but perhaps more than all this, it’s a supreme driving experience. Whilst it might not be the most fashionable of the small cars on the market, this is a great little all-rounder to the point that it’s been awarded best city car of the year 2016 by What Car? Magazine.

If you’re looking for a safe, economical car that drives well then the Skoda Citigo could be for you. Best of all, you can bag yourself a new Citigo with a low deposit and free insurance, discounted insurance or cashback.

Reasons to love the Skoda Citigo

A superb drive in town or on the motorway Plus Icon

Like many superminis the Skoda Citigo is a car that loves the town - brilliantly handling small streets, heavy traffic and tight parking spaces. But this car is equally as happy and eager to cruise out on the open road. It’s light and agile to handle, has precise weighted steering and excellent visibility. Ultimately, this is a quality motor that is equally suited to urban or motorway driving.

Excellent value Plus Icon

The compact size of the Citigo and the small engine means running costs are extremely low. The GreenTech models which uses eco-themed equipment to keep emissions down to 95g/km. These models also include low-rolling resistance tyres and a stop/start system to help save fuel.

Insurance-wise you won’t find a cheaper car. The Citigo starts in insurance group one with models going up to group four.

Surprisingly spacious Plus Icon

The Citigo has space that puts other supermini cars to shame. There’s plenty of storage compartments including a large glovebox, deep bins in the front and rear doors plus a decent cubby hole ahead of the gear-lever.

Whilst it’s strictly a four seater car, those in the back get plenty of leg and headroom – so your mates will be happy. The boot has a spacious 251 litre capacity which can be extended to 959 litres by folding down the split rear bench. There’s also a cunningly hidden storage area found underneath the initial boot floor, which will come in handy.

Top class for safety Plus Icon

You really are in safe hands with the Citigo. It received an impressive 5 star rating for safety from Euro NCAP which was due to its strong body, standard-fit stability control, daytime running lights and tyre pressure monitors. It was also given an 89% adult occupant protection.
