Fiat Punto

First introduced back in 1994 the Fiat Punto was an immediate success winning European Car of the Year award in 1995. Now in its second generation, apart from a few updates, Fiat haven’t tinkered too much Punto over the years which has been the supermini struggle somewhat against rival city cars, but the Punto still performs well as a good value urban run around.

If you’re looking for a comfortable little run around that’s practical and economical then this could be the car for you. Best of all, you can grab a new Fiat Punto with a low deposit and free insurance, discounted insurance or cashback.

Reasons to love the Fiat Punto

A smooth ride around town Plus Icon

The Punto is made for urban driving. The decent visibility and light steering make it easy to manoeuvre around traffic in town and parking is a breeze. The suspension and adjustable seating gives you a comfortable ride but the Punto doesn’t cope as well out on the open road or motorway where it’s not as smooth a ride.

Low running costs Plus Icon

For a start the Punto is a fairly inexpensive buy compared to other superminis and the 1.2 litre engine will give you a decent fuel economy of 52.3mpg.

Insurance be fairly cheap too with most models are classed within insurance group eight.

Room for all your gear Plus Icon

The Punto is a spacious car with a decent amount of legroom and headroom upfront as well as for two adults in the in the back. As it’s only available with five doors, you’ll have no problem piling your mates or stuff in the back.

The boot has 257 litres of space which may be smaller some of the other superminis but when the rear seats are folded down this increases to a remarkable 1,030 litres, ideal if you’ve got lots of stuff to cart off to Uni.

Safe bet Plus Icon

The Fiat Punto was awarded four stars in the Euro NCAP crash test and there’s several airbags as standard. You also get automatic braking system, electronic stability program and hill-hold system as standard.

The majority of applicants will receive free insurance, but where this is not available we will offer you discounted insurance or cashback.
