Job Role Summary

The Digital Designer will be responsible for digital assets and the design/UX of the Marmalade website. This exciting role is supported by the digital team and web developer to ensure that design is performance driven.

The successful candidate should have a passion for UX design and innovation to help keep the Marmalade website and brand as pioneers within our sector and to achieve our ecommerce goals.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Collaborate closely with the digital team to produce and deliver online assets through a variety of media for our digital performance channels.
  • Work closely with the CRO team to run AB and multivariant tests to deliver CRO improvements to user journeys. 
  • Prototype designs by building and testing interactive wireframes/HTML mock ups.
  • Produce strong merchandising and design for key commercial landing pages.
  • Design and develop the website navigation to improve the customer journeys.
  • Working with the SEO & content team to design landing pages that will improve search visibility.
  • Working with a mobile first approach across all designs.
  • Liaising with the inhouse graphic designer and agencies to ensure brand guidelines are developed and adhered to throughout our online presence.
  • Keeping up to date with design trends for our core demographics and new developments that will keep Marmalade as market leaders in our sector.

Technical skills and experience


  • Expert skills in all Adobe Creative Cloud software – Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.
  • Proven experience in digital and website design.
  • Experience in using HTML5 and CSS.
  • Good understanding of best practices in UX/UI design.
  • Ability to work closely with others within the digital and development teams. 


  • Web based media and visual merchandising.
  • Experience working on e-commerce websites & online form design.
