Stylish, comfortable and with a decent amount of kit, this is a fab city car that looks the part and can be personalised to make it more of your own.
The newest supermini from Peugeot is compact, safe and cheap to run. What makes this hatchback stand out in an increasingly crowded market is its generous infotainment system. If its kit you’re after, this little hatch offers a decent amount if you’re on a budget.
Best of all you can secure a new Peugeot 108 with a £500 deposit and we’ll pay towards your first year’s insurance. You can use this to buy insurance from a provider of your choice (of course, we’d love it if you chose our black box insurance, but we don’t tie you in!)
This is a sharp looking car available in a range of funky colours including Purple Berry. If you love to put your own stamp on things then Peugeot offers you the chance to opt for a two tone paint scheme along with a load of funky sticker packs and you can personalise the inside too. The 108’s cabin is highly tech focused – it’s centred round a 7-inch colour touchscreen with USB, aux-in and Bluetooth, a DAB radio, multifunction steering wheel and Mirror Link function for use with Android devices.
If you do a lot of motorway or open road driving, this perhaps isn’t the best car for you. The 108 wins if you are looking for a car to pop about town in. It’s a comfortable, smooth and very quiet drive. Whilst the 108 is roomy up front it is slightly lacking in the boot and the back. Your mates may feel a bit claustrophobic on longer car journeys – this car prefers the urban environment!
Scoring a decent 4 out of 5 stars for safety in Euro NCAP crash tests, the 108 achieved 80% rating for adult and child protection so this little city car is a real winner for safety. The 108 was also awarded four out of five star security rating from Thatcham for its resistance to being stolen.
There’s six airbags and stability control as standard, tyre pressure monitoring and hill-hold control to prevent any backwards rolling downhill (always a good thing!).
The 108 not only has an impressive fuel economy but Peugeot has placed a real emphasis on cutting emissions too. The 1.0 smallest engine is available with a stop / start technology that helps deliver low fuel emissions of 88/km and bags you a fuel economy of 74.3mpg.
You can expect to pay about £7 per 100 miles for fuel and the 108 sits within insurance groups 6 to 12.
